Job Summary
Collect pertinent patient data including vital signs, intake, and output while reporting abnormal findings to the registered nurse. Perform personal care tasks such as bathing, oral care, skin care, and grooming, and assist with eating, hydration, and toileting. Conduct point-of-care testing like blood draws and electrocardiography, and facilitate patient mobilization and range of motion exercises. Maintain a clean, orderly environment by managing supplies and adhering to infection control protocols. Document all care activities in the patient record and participate in care planning and nursing reports.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (Medium proficiency)
- Honest, punctual, and performs the job in adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct as defined by Albany Medical Center and the tenets of the profession
