Job Summary
Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN; perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient; requires lifting 50 pounds regularly and prolonged standing/walking; training provided through a 175-hour program if no prior experience, to be completed within 90 days; BLS required within one month of hire and PCA competencies within 3 months; preferred CNA licensure; Mercy benefits and growth opportunities available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CNA or CPTC certification
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- PCA competencies within 3 months of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Enrolled in a healthcare career program or current Mercy co-worker
- Education: CNA/CPTC or equivalent healthcare program
