Job Summary
Under RN/LPN direction, assists in individualized patient care on Medical/Surgical/Neuro units and provides designated clinical and non-clinical support to ensure patient well-being. Works as part of a team in a fast-paced hospital setting on Medical A floor; participates in patient education on procedural expectations and discharge medications. Requires completing a 175-hour Mercy training program within hire orientation, and BLS within one month of hire; role supports compassionate, multidisciplinary care and may include EMT/CPCT/CNA-credentialed responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum
- BLS certification within one month of hire
- Completion of PCT competencies within 3 months of hire
- Experience: Mercy will provide a 175-hour training program if no prior experience
- Physical requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds; prolonged standing/walking; ability to bend/kneel/twist/squat
