Job Summary
Patient Care Associate in inpatient hematology/oncology at Memorial Healthcare System. Under RN supervision, performs basic patient care and clinical support activities including assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating), maintaining patient rooms, transporting patients, monitoring status and reporting changes to nursing staff. Performs delegated duties such as vital signs, EKG testing, phlebotomy, and recording intake/output, with competency in EKG and phlebotomy within six months. Requires BLS certification; no degree required. Requires the ability to work in a high-stress hospital environment with physical demands (heavy lifting, standing, repetitive movements). Minimum of three months of patient care experience or completion of a formal training program is required. Wages are not specified in the posting.
Required Qualifications

- BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
- BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential
- BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
- EKG and phlebotomy competencies are required within six (6) months of hire date
- Three (3) months of patient care experience demonstrating the ability to perform basic patient care or certification of completion from formal training program required.
