Job Summary
Patient Care Associate II provides direct patient care support in the clinic setting, including preparing exam rooms, preparing charts, obtaining records/information, assisting with patient flow, and delivering effective patient care. Primary duties include obtaining vital signs, phlebotomy, testing, verification of medications, directing patient flow during procedures, handling documentation and requisitions, routing patient questions, supporting care coordination through communication with patients and scheduling, monitoring supplies and equipment for compliance, and maintaining HIPAA and OSHA standards in a Washington University clinical office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- Certifications/Professional Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
- Work Experience: Patient Care Support (1 Year)
- Skills: Not Applicable
- Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position
