Job Summary
Take vital signs and assist patients with daily living activities under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Act as a receptionist, coordinate equipment, and provide transportation services for the assigned department. Collaborate with interdisciplinary personnel to ensure safe patient care and smooth unit operations. Requires six months of Nursing Assistant experience or completion of the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program, with Phlebotomy experience preferred. Night shift schedule of 32 hours weekly at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or as a Nursing student currently enrolled in a formal program who has successfully completed at least one clinical rotation
- is currently enrolled in and successfully completes the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program
- High school graduate or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience
