Patient Care Associate I (Orthopedics)

Provide direct patient care appropriate to age, culture, and developmental needs under the direction of the Professional Nurse. Assist patients with daily living tasks such as dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting, vital signs, catheter care, answering call lights, ambulation, turning, and ensuring patient safety. Perform technical skills including obtaining 12 lead EKG, setting up respiratory equipment, glucometer monitoring, bladder catheterization, and transcribing orders when indicated. Maintain excellent bedside manner and customer service skills while completing applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment. Full-time day/evening shifts with every other weekend rotation.
