Job Summary
Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment as part of the interdisciplinary health care team. Certification as CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience is required (or enrollment in the NWH PCA Training Program, or nursing student who has completed fundamentals with a clinical component; nursing students hired as PCAs preferred to be enrolled in BSN programs or direct-entry MS programs). Night shift, onsite in Newton-Wellesley Hospital (Newton, MA).
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience required, unless incumbent is enrolled in the NWH Patient Care Associate Training Program, or is a nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with clinical component
