Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit. Maintain a safe environment while supporting the care of all patients on the telemetry unit. This role requires a High School Diploma, current Phlebotomy and EKG certification, and current BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Candidates must possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and have at least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office. The position is full-time, day shift, and offers the opportunity to join an award-winning team at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a 131-bed community hospital serving the Philadelphia area since 1890.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire
- Current EKG certification upon hire
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
- Maintain current BLS (AHA)
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office
