Job Summary
Coordinate patient flow by roomsing individuals, taking vitals, and preparing patients for physicians while managing supplies and equipment. Accurately complete chart documentation, review lab and hospital reports, and post information into the electronic medical record. Maintain exam room cleanliness, care for all equipment, and assist with scheduling tests and procedures. Handle front office tasks including answering billing questions, routing phone calls, making copies, and obtaining insurance referrals. Check in patients following applicable policies and assist non-ambulatory patients to lab and x-ray as needed. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm in an 80-hour biweekly schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED Equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- ability to work the hours specified
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Medical Assistant degree from a college or technical school
- Medical terminology experience
