Patient Care Assistant - PICU (FT, Nights)

Job Summary
Collect and document patient and family data while obtaining vital signs without continuous monitors, notifying professionals of abnormal findings. Deliver high-quality, cost-effective care under RN supervision, collaborating with multiple nurses to prioritize workload based on patient needs. Identify patient responses to care and provide input for developing and modifying the plan of care. Maintain accountability for self-development and participate in unit goals while demonstrating flexibility and strong communication skills. Requires respiratory fit testing and completion of a nursing assistant program or one year of direct patient care experience. Full-time night shift position.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/associate degree/Etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program)
- Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire
- One (1) year of direct patient care experience
- Respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards
