Job Summary
Patient Care Assistant role in PACU for a hospital setting requiring HS diploma or GED plus CNA/medical assistant certification or nursing program, BSN in progress, and 1 year of direct patient care. You will assist with data collection and vital signs, collaborate with RNs to implement and modify the care plan, maintain documentation, and participate in patient/family-centered care while meeting safety standards and respiratory fit testing requirements. Monday–Friday 12 PM–8:30 PM with rotating weekends/holidays; full-time with a focus on teamwork, communications, and high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. CNA, Medical Assistant)
- Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire
- One (1) year of direct patient care experience
