Job Summary
Provide bedside and collaborative patient care under the supervision of an RN in a fast-paced hospital unit. Duties include collecting and documenting patient/family data, obtaining and communicating vital signs, collaborating with RNs to prioritize workload, contributing to the plan of care, and supporting family-centered care. Maintain accountability for personal development, participate in achieving unit goals, and adhere to safety standards including respiratory fit testing as part of occupational health requirements. Requires strong teamwork, communication, and customer-service skills to support quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED Required
- Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/associate degree/Etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program)
- Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire
- One (1) year of direct patient care experience
