Job Summary
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assist patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy, and complete all documentation in the medical record as required. Help patients with basic hygiene tasks, including turning and repositioning them in bed or moving between the bed and a wheelchair. Listen to patient health concerns and report them to nurses. This role accepts experience in lieu of a degree for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only
- Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only
- Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only
- Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
