Job Summary
Patient Care Assistant assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, performing duties within the scope of unlicensed nursing personnel. The role requires adaptability to unpredictable patient care settings, and BLS certification is required or provided during orientation. The position is part-time with 8-hour shifts in Evening/Night rotation, and every other weekend, across Mayo Clinic campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
- Completion of 12 college credits -OR- High school diploma/ GED with successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
- Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (BLS) certification) or will be included as part of orientation.
