Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living tasks including bathing, dressing, eating, and using the toilet. Perform vital signs measurements such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and accurately record weights and heights. Help patients turn and reposition themselves in bed and move between the bed and wheelchair. Listen to patient health concerns and report them to nurses while completing all required medical record documentation. Interact effectively with patients and their families, maintaining confidentiality and following established time frames for intakes and outputs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support [BLS] - Generic - HR Only
- Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only
- Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [National Certification] - Generic - HR Only
- Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in patient care/elder care 0-1 year
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
