Patient Care Assistant III 36 hr Night E/O Weekend and Holiday

Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), this role is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team that assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Essential duties include performing patient care-related tasks such as obtaining and documenting vital signs and EKGs, bathing and assisting with sanitary needs, transferring and aiding ambulation, feeding patients, stocking and maintaining patient rooms, performing specimen collection, documenting patient information (height, weight, intake/output, glucose), and communicating with nursing staff. The position requires ability to retrieve and prepare equipment, ensure proper setup and cleaning between uses, and support exams and treatments as required. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred), BLS certification, and healthcare experience (1–2 years) with strong typing, computer skills, and good interpersonal and written communication abilities. Physical demands include lifting and transporting patients and other tasks as outlined in Safe Patient Handling Guidelines. The role is onsite at 3 Dove Ave, Salem, MA, with a 36-hour weekly schedule during night shifts including weekends and holidays. EEO employer.
