Job Summary
Assists in clinical support functions under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Performs patient care duties including lifting and transporting patients using appropriate physical techniques per Safe Patient Handling Guidelines, while multitasking and handling stress in crisis situations. Requires demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, and computer experience, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities. This role operates on a rotating 32-hour night shift (11p-7:30a) with weekends and holidays included. Basic Life Support certification is required, with Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support [BLS Certification]
- Healthcare experience 1-2 years
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Demonstrated typing skills and computer experience
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines
- 32hr Nights 4x8hr shifts 11p-7:30a rotating weekends and holidays
