Job Summary
Provide assistance and reassurance to patients upon admission and perform general nursing care functions within a specific Care Center. Execute technical and clinical tasks based on patient acuity, including phlebotomy services and EKGs according to physician's orders. Deliver care that respects individual, cultural, and religious diversities while upholding patient rights. Requires a high school diploma, CNA training, and one year of recent nursing assistant experience; phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS certifications are preferred. This role supports the hospital's mission of compassionate, evidence-based care for the Smithtown community.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a CNA training class and/or Fundamentals of Nursing in a nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent experience as a nursing assistant
