Job Summary
Provide assistance and reassurance to patients upon admission and perform general nursing care functions as part of the care team. Execute a variety of technical and clinical tasks based on patient acuity, including phlebotomy services and EKGs according to physician orders. Deliver care that reflects an understanding of individual, cultural, and religious diversities while recognizing patient rights. Complete required CNA training or Fundamentals of Nursing coursework and maintain certification in phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a CNA training class and/or Fundamentals of Nursing in a nursing program
- Minimum 1 year recent experience as a nursing assistant
- Certification in phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS
