Job Summary
Nursing Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, and helping maintain a safe and clean environment. The role aligns with CNA experience and serves as a stepping stone for ongoing nursing practice. Required skills include effective communication, collaboration with interdisciplinary team, multitasking under stressful situations, and adherence to safety and patient-centered care principles. Orientation includes BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years old
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- BLS certification included in orientation program; successful completion required prior to first day in patient care
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task under stressful situations
- Demonstrates ability to communicate, collaborate and manage relationships with interdisciplinary members during patient/family centered care
- Keyboard experience preferred
