Job Summary
Provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assisting with activities of daily living and personal hygiene, responding to patient call lights, transporting patients for procedures or discharge, and maintaining clean patient rooms. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting; duties include assisting with showers, oral hygiene, dressing/undressing, and supporting overall quality of patient care. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant or 6 months of experience direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech, or completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
- Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives
- Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization
