Job Summary
Greet patients, manage check-in and check-out processes, and answer phones while scheduling appointments. Escort patients to exam rooms, validate medical records, and take vital signs within defined scope of practice. Collect lab specimens, stock supply closets, and sterilize equipment per infection control standards. Scan documents into Epic, monitor appointment queues, and promote MyChart usage. Maintain patient privacy, handle front-end work queues, and complete annual competencies including fire safety and HIPAA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities
- demonstrated ability in computer skills
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to thrive in a team work environment
