Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Services

Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge. Maintain a safe environment while performing duties in a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls, and northwest Philadelphia communities. Hold current CNA certification, BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire, and preferred phlebotomy and EKG certifications. Requires a high school diploma and minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office. Full-time day shift position at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare accredited by the Joint Commission.
Required Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred
- Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
