Job Summary
Collect and document patient and family data while obtaining vital signs and notifying professionals of abnormal findings. Provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care under RN direction, collaborating with multiple nurses to prioritize workload based on patient needs. Assist in identifying patient responses to care and contribute input to the ongoing development and modification of the plan of care. Maintain accountability for self-development and participate in unit goal achievement. Requires H.S. Diploma or GED, plus nursing assistant certification, one year of direct patient care experience, or enrollment in a BSN program with one clinical rotation. Respiratory fit testing is required for all successful candidates.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Completion of a formal nursing assistant educational program or certification (e.g. Diploma/Course/Certificate/associate degree/Etc. completed in a Certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar clinical education program)
- Currently enrolled in a BSN degree program with one clinical rotation completed at hire
- One (1) year of direct patient care experience
- Respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards
