Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating) and support routine health tasks under licensed personnel. Perform vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), document in the medical record, interact effectively with patients and families, assist with hygiene and mobility, and report health concerns to nurses. Provide help turning/repositioning patients and aiding transfers between bed and wheelchair as needed. Strong emphasis on patient care, documentation, and basic clinical skills within a hospital setting; onsite role in Boston, MA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Generic - HR Only preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant - Generic - HR Only preferred
- Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician - Generic - HR Only preferred
- Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong patient/customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Proficient in computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records
