Job Summary
Support the RN with clinical tasks including glucometry, EKGs, and vital signs. Respond to the needs of patients and family members while taking a proactive role in the efficient operation of the unit. This Patient Care Assistant role at Brigham and Women's Hospital requires CNA, PCT, MA, EMT, or commensurate certification, with bi-lingual skills preferred. The position offers a $750 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires and includes rotating shifts at 75 Francis Street.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA, PCT, MA, EMT or commensurate experience
- Documentation of successful completion of full CNA course work (if state of MA is not offering CNA exams at the time of hire)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual skills
- Prior experience in a clinical setting
- Nursing student who has completed fundamentals of nursing with a clinical component (clinical rotation or simulation lab)
- Nursing students enrolled in BSN programs
- Nursing students enrolled in direct-entry Masters' programs
