Patient Care Assistant - 8 E Pulmonary Medical Telemetry - Per Diem 12 Hour Nights (Non-Exempt) (Union)

Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides nursing staff support in patient care delivery, clerical functions, and unit environment setup/maintenance, with emphasis on responsive patient care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the RN. Essential duties include responding to patient calls within 10 minutes, monitoring vitals and intake/output, daily weight, hygiene, mobilization/ambulation, assisting with meals, maintaining clean and safe rooms, and utilizing computerized systems to document care and communicate patient needs. Requires CNA certification (grandfathered if hired before 2016) and BLS; must communicate effectively in English. Per diem 12-hour night shifts at USC Keck Medicine of USC, Los Angeles, CA.
