Job Summary
Patient Care Assistant on the 7th Floor Cardiac/Renal/Med Surg provides patient care under RN direction, assisting with ADLs, hygiene, and comfort. Responsibilities include responding to call lights, assisting with showers and personal care, transporting patients for procedures or discharge, and maintaining clean, uncluttered patient rooms. Strong communication and commitment to patient-centered care are essential; role supports collaboration to deliver high-quality care on night shift (full-time).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or 6 months of experience direct Patient Care Assistant or Nurse Tech
- completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School, or enrollment in the Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral
