Job Summary
Provide nursing staff support in patient care delivery, clerical functions, and unit organization, including setup and maintenance of equipment. Collaborates with RN to implement the patient’s plan of care, monitors vitals, I&O, daily weight, and hygiene; assists with meals and mobility; documents care and maintains patient confidentiality. Communicates with patients and families, ensures a safe environment, and uses computerized systems to relay information. Requires graduation from an accredited Certified Nursing Program and CNA certification with BLS; 12-hour night shifts; union environment.
Required Qualifications
- Req High school or equivalent
- Req Specialized/technical training Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program
- (*) Grandfathered CNA Certification if hired/transferred prior to 8/2016
- Req Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH)
- Req Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) - If no card, obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain
