Job Summary
Provide nursing staff support on the unit as a Patient Care Assistant (PCT) with responsibilities including monitoring vitals, daily weight, intake and output, hygiene, ambulation, and patient transfers; document care and communicate with the RN and care team; assist with meals and care plans, respond to patient calls, maintain clean and safe patient rooms, and ensure equipment readiness and safety. Must be a graduate of an accredited CNA program, maintain CPR/BLS certification, and comply with unit procedures and hospital policies. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift (Non-Exempt) Union position at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles with a salary range of $22.00 – $37.40 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Req High school or equivalent
- Req Specialized/technical training
- Graduate from an accredited Certified Nursing Program
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
