Job Summary
Patient Billing/Services Representative II in Orthopedic Surgery handles front-desk duties including check-in/check-out, ensures accurate registration and insurance/referral data in EPIC, schedules appointments, and collects copayments, DME payments, self-pay, and past due balances. Maintains compliance with No Surprise Billing Act and HIPAA, collaborates with Pre-Arrival, and serves as a patient liaison to enhance the patient experience. May require local travel to cover other Orthopedic locations in a fast-paced clinic environment. Focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, accuracy in demographic and insurance information, and supporting operations and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- Certifications/Professional Licenses: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross
- Work Experience: Billing Systems And Third-Party Claims And/Or Medical Office Setting, Related Customer Service (3 Years)
- Skills: Not Applicable
- Driver's License: A driver's license is not required for this position
