Job Summary
The Patient Benefits Coordinator (Outreach & Enrollment) provides administrative and patient support to ensure timely access to care, handling patient registration, insurance eligibility verification, appointment scheduling, and benefits enrollment for both clinic-based and outreach operations. Responsibilities include reviewing insurance eligibility, entering demographic information into databases, completing Medicare Secondary Payer forms, referencing pended or terminated benefits, processing MassHealth/Free Care applications, creating MSI tracking numbers for medical records in the EMR system, updating registration records, and serving as backup to the front desk when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalency
- 2 years of benefits experience in a clinical environment preferred
- Strong computer skills including Excel
- Bilingual (Spanish/English or Haitian Creole/English) strongly preferred
- Life support certification (CPR, BLS, ACLS) with hands-on component
