Job Summary
Conduct reception duties, manage front desk operations, and handle intake and discharge processes. Assist practitioners during GYN sessions by preparing charts, interviewing patients, setting them up for exams, and collecting samples. Operate the pathology lab under supervision to sterilize instruments and verify procedures, while running the laboratory to collect blood samples and run tests. Perform pre-op sonograms using both vaginal and abdominal scan techniques. Serve as a surgical assistant by anticipating needs, supplying instruments, and supporting patients throughout the abortion procedure. Prepare and recover patients, starting IVs, cleaning rooms, and escorting patients to recovery. Maintain accurate medical records and manage financial tasks including counting money and making deposits.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
- Four-year bachelor's degree
- Basic Life Support Certification biannually
- Annual OSHA and PPE in-service training
- Must possess the ability and capability to perform any task in the office
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs or more
- Must be able to physically move through the office unaided
- Must have excellent visual and hearing acuity
