Job Summary
Patient Advocate responsible for verifying insurance coverage and determining in- or out-of-network status for procedures, completing benefit information with deductible/co-pay/coinsurance details, preparing surgery schedules and post-operative appointments, providing cost estimates to patients, producing daily reports to verify in-network status and obtain required referrals/authorizations, answering patient inquiries, collecting and distributing insurance information and fee schedules, maintaining and retrieving medical records, ensuring preoperative testing/documentation is complete, and processing Mission Vision and patient assistant program applications. Strong communication, detail-orientation, initiative, and problem-solving skills are essential to support patient care and coordination in the clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
