Patient Advocate Specialist

The Patient Financial Advocate screens patients on-site at hospitals (bedside or ER) for eligibility assistance programs, initiates enrollment applications, identifies patient needs, and guides families through state, county, and federal assistance options. Responsibilities include presenting Firstsource services, maintaining records in the in-house screening tool and hospital system, performing on-site screenings (and home visits when needed), and coordinating with hospital staff and clients to monitor progress. Requires basic computer skills, daily face-to-face patient interactions, and adherence to confidentiality and compliance policies. This is a full-time, on-site role located at a medical facility in Knoxville, TN, with immunization requirements and potential holiday/odd-hour shifts.
