Job Summary
Patient Advocate role in Santo Domingo focusing on Insurance Administration, patient communications, care coordination with EHR management, and pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include verifying eligibility and benefits, prior authorization, coverage determination, patient cost-sharing, handling non-clinical inquiries via messaging with strong written English, coordinating with clinicians and pharmacy partners, managing complex EHR/workflow triage, and guiding patients through treatment workflows. Requires 2+ years in healthcare-related BPO or operations, experience in telehealth/pharmacy/provider settings, excellent organizational and communication skills, and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of BPO experience supporting patients or medical operations
- Professional experience in healthcare environments such as telehealth, pharmacy operations, or provider practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize independently
- Exceptional written communication skills for asynchronous messaging; empathetic patient-facing communication
- Experience coordinating with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, pharmacy partners, and insurance stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with EHRs and multi-system medical workflows
- Ability to resolve novel patient situations and escalate appropriately
