Job Summary
Manage access to local medical care and support the RMI Global Coordination Centre by deploying to pre-defined facilities within one hour of notification. Liaise with treating physicians to ensure swift patient access, provide translation between local dialects and English, and mediate payment agreements with medical establishments. Maintain patient welfare during admissions, arrange additional services using local knowledge, and deliver timely status updates to the GCC in both written and verbal forms. Remain available throughout agreed coverage hours to resolve problems pragmatically while demonstrating a professional persona.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a medical healthcare professional in the area of operation
- Bilingual local language & dialect (as per area of operation), and English
- Valid driver's license for area of operation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience providing patient advocacy in remote/international areas
- Foreign travel experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer & technology literacy
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Demonstrated self-discipline
- Ability to integrate into a cross-culturalsocialstructure
