Maintain and control assigned patient accounts, verifying and editing demographic and insurance information before submitting electronic claims to carriers within 24 hours. Process claim submissions, record late charges, and resolve payment problems with patients and third-party payers while monitoring collection agency reports. Alert the billing manager on potential issues, assist with staff performance evaluations, and prepare required reports according to established hospital policy. Comply with all privacy policies and attend mandatory training.
