Responsible for managing patient accounts by ensuring accuracy in data and prompt submission of claims. Required Qualifications
- Maintains and controls an assigned section of patient accounts
- Reviews files daily for accuracy and completeness
- Verifies and edits patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepares and submits claims to carriers and intermediaries
- Monitors accounts for trace follow-up to insurance companies
- Processes and responds to correspondence regarding insurance benefits
- Contacts patient account guarantors to secure payments
- Ensures effective billing for accounts
- Reviews account status for referral to collection agencies
- Resolves payment problems with patients and payers
- Complies with CRHS privacy policies
- Conducts in-service training and adheres to policies
