Patient Account Specialist I

Create patient accounts in the EMR system and manage referral order records to support revenue, billing, and reimbursement cycles. Handle pre-registration, admission, benefit verification, authorization procurement, and consent signatures while documenting all actions and financial discharge tasks. Obtain MyChart or proxy account access as needed and maintain strict confidentiality and ethical compliance. Work rotating shifts with occasional travel, adhering to customer service standards and dress code. This role serves as a key promoter of service excellence within Driscoll Children's Hospital, supporting patient care departments and the Health Plan across 31 South Texas counties.
