Job Summary
Patient Account Representative responsible for managing and following up on insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Collaborates with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve outstanding claims, monitor claim status, resolve denials and discrepancies, prepare and submit appeals for denied or underpaid claims, maintain detailed documentation, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide clear explanations of billing information to patients. Requires strong medical billing knowledge, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced medical billing office within STAR Physical Therapy.
