Job Summary
Patient Account Representative responsible for core patient financial services such as scanning, filing, reviewing correspondence and third-party/patient billing, and resolving billing questions at an introductory level. Responsibilities include processing claims (electronic or paper), data entry, insurance follow up, denial management, payment posting, and providing patient account information with HIPAA compliance. Requires strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and professional interpersonal skills. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to department policies; collaborates with management and coworkers to ensure accurate and timely billing and enrollment in payment options.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one (1) year of related revenue cycle experience
