Job Summary
Review patient accounts to identify corrective opportunities before bad debt occurs and analyze bankruptcy notices for court filing eligibility. Confirm applicable insurance coverage or contact patients for further information as needed. Execute appropriate corrective actions and document account status while utilizing IDX and Healthquest software daily. Work independently with minimal supervision across physician billing and hospital patient account reviews.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED OR 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of the education
- 0-2 years of prior relevant experience in healthcare, health insurance, or finance
- Some working knowledge of health insurance or bankruptcy/finance
- Candidate will preferably live within 50 miles of our client office
Desired Qualifications
- IDX Software experience
- EPIC Software Experience
- STAR Software Experience
- HealthQuest Software experience or similar billing system
- Health care Billing- Physician Billing
- Exhibit flexibility and cope effectively in an ever-changing, fast paced environment
- Maintaining a customer focus and strive to satisfy the customer's perceived needs
