Job Summary
Patient Accounts Representative responsible for performing insurance verification and eligibility checks, developing knowledge of LVF payer contracts and billing workflows, providing support and training to registration, check-in, and other patient accounts staff, populating client insurance information in the EHR, responding to patient billing inquiries with professionalism and empathy, and contributing to efficient revenue cycle management and compliance standards. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of insurance verification/eligibility experience, experience with Medicaid/Medicare/commercial insurance, familiarity with EHR and practice management systems, and strong teamwork and customer service in a medical-office setting. Role starts onsite for 90 days with potential for hybrid schedule afterward; full-time with a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- ONE year of experience in insurance verification and eligibility review
- Patient financial communication and customer service
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management systems
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without accommodation
