Job Summary
Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographics, insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Secure data entry by operating a computer to input and retrieve information. Collaborate with the Admitting department, including PBX operators and reception areas, while communicating using age-specific techniques for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and complete special projects or other assignments within specified timeframes. This per diem variable shift role supports North Vista Hospital's comprehensive healthcare services, including emergency, heart, and surgical care, within a 177-bed facility recognized for Patient Safety Excellence and Bariatric Surgery awards.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Services experience
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines
