Job Summary
Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographics, secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Collaborate with all facets of the Admitting department, including the PBX operator and reception areas. Operate a computer to input and retrieve data while communicating with diverse populations using age-specific techniques from neonatal to geriatrics. Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and complete special projects or other assignments within specified timeframes. This part-time, 0.5 FTE role at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL, operates from 12p-5p.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Services experience
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
