Job Summary
Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographics, secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations. Collaborate with the Admitting department, including PBX operators and reception areas, while operating a computer to input and retrieve data. Communicate using age-specific techniques for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, maintaining proficiency in medical terminology. Complete special projects or other assignments within specified timeframes. This per diem role with variable shifts supports San Dimas Community Hospital's 24-hour emergency services and comprehensive care model.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Services experience
- High School Graduate or GED Equivalent

- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative
- Knowledge of medical terminology
