Patient Access Specialist

Job Summary
Answer all telephone inquiries and manage email/chat sessions for prospective and existing patients to ensure the best possible patient experience. Obtain patient registration, instruct patients to complete forms via internet, email, fax, or mail, and route registration forms to appropriate contacts. Log patient calls daily, maintain the monthly log for new patient referral spreadsheets, and mail new patient packets when requested. Report weekly and monthly data on inquiries and registrations as requested. Maintain patient confidentiality and assist the supervisor as needed. This role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of patient contact experience, and knowledge of HIPAA compliance. Bilingual Spanish speakers are strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- 1–2 years patient contact/scheduling experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance and requirements
- Ability to exhibit computer proficiency in Microsoft and EMR platforms and programs
- Superior organizational and time management skills
- This position begins as a fully on-site role
Desired Qualifications
- Team members who demonstrate strong performance and reliability during their first 90 days will be eligible to transition to a hybrid work schedule, with the opportunity to work remotely on a part-time basis
