Patient Access Specialist – St. Vincent Medical Center

The Patient Access Specialist performs patient registration, verifies demographics and insurance information, schedules appointments, and updates medical records with accuracy while delivering strong customer service. Must handle insurance verification, explain financial options to patients, protect patient identity and confidentiality, troubleshoot problems, and maintain patient flow. Requires basic computer skills, 40 WPM typing, basic math, and effective communication with patients and medical staff; prior healthcare registration experience is preferred but not required. Shift is nights; position involves 16 hours per week with related scheduling and coverage as needed. Includes duties such as answering phones with courteous greetings and other duties as assigned.
